Avatar India was founded in October 2023 with the aim of improving sustainable e-waste disposal and management practices through the use of community action, comprehensive education and targeted resources. We seek to utilize a community centric approach that systematically implements a community action drive in collaboration with local resident welfare associations to execute monthly e-waste collection drives. Further, Avatar India will also develop and implement a plan that is targeted at assisting mid to large sized firms in reducing the volume of e-waste generated. 

Additionally, to increase awareness among a wider demographic in the country, Avatar India will also utilize educational resources such as the ‘Avatar E-Magazine’ and a series of videos hosted on Youtube. These resources will discuss the different sources of e-waste and the risks and implications of improper disposal, while also discussing methods of proper disposal and management. Through this, project Avatar hopes to disseminate accurate information regarding e-waste, and increase access to resources that can encourage efficient e-waste disposal and management practices in India.
